Skin Cancer

Skin cancer affects 1 out of every 5 Americans over the age of 70 and is the most common malignancy in the United States. Two of the most common skin cancers are basal cell carcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma and are primarily located in areas of the skin that have frequent sun exposure. Most often these types of skin cancer are easily treated without any lasting effects, however there still exists a minimal chance of these skin cancers spreading to other parts of the body. Although less common, malignant melanoma is an extremely dangerous form of skin cancer due to its high propensity to spread. Malignant melanoma requires specific and immediate treatment.

Our physicians offer some of the most advanced skin cancer treatments available today, including Mohs, and STR100 for non-melanoma skin cancers.

Prevention is key, 90% of all skin cancer is curable if treated early! Regular skin exams and skin cancer screenings are the best way to determine if further action and treatment is required.
