Alecia Folkes, MS, DO, FAAD, FAOCD
Dr. Folkes, a board certified Dermatologist, earned her Bachelor’s of Science in Molecular and Microbiology from University of Central Florida. She attended Nova Southeastern University, where she graduated with a Masters in Biomedical Sciences and Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Folkes completed a traditional rotating internship at St. John’s Episcopal Hospital in NY. This was followed by two years of research, one of which was completed at City of Hope Comprehensive Cancer Center in CA where she participated in clinical trials and treatment of patients with cutaneous lymphoma. Following her years of research, Dr. Folkes completed dermatology residency at Larkin Community Hospital in Miami, where she served as a chief resident in her last year of dermatology residency.
Dr. Folkes performs medical and surgical dermatology. Aside from working she enjoys spending time with family, traveling, and volunteering with animals.
