Rosacea

Rosacea is a common skin condition that can cause redness and visible veins in the face. It may appear as a visible blush across the nose and cheeks and may be accompanied by reddish bumps or pimples. Rosacea tends to happen in flare-ups where the symptoms appear and disappear. Sometimes the trigger is unknown, but often, flare-ups occur due to:

  • Wind exposure
  • Hot baths, saunas, or hot tubs
  • Sun exposure
  • Exercise

Rosacea affects sixteen million Americans. It is most common after the age of 30, and there may be a genetic link. While there is no cure for rosacea, symptoms can be controlled. To learn more about your condition and the treatment options available, contact us and schedule an appointment.
