About Me
Dr. Folkes is a board-certified dermatologist who practices both medical and surgical dermatology. She earned her Bachelor’s of Science in Molecular and Microbiology from University of Central Florida. She went on to attend Nova Southeastern University, where she graduated with a Master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences and Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine.
Dr. Folkes completed a traditional rotating internship at St. John’s Episcopal Hospital in NY. She then pursued two years of clinical research, including one year at City of Hope Comprehensive Cancer Center in California, where she participated in clinical trials and treatment of patients with cutaneous lymphoma. Following her years of research, she completed her dermatology residency at Larkin Community Hospital in Miami, where she served as a chief resident during her final year.
Aside from working she enjoys spending time with family, traveling, and volunteering with animals.
