Meet Giovanna Paredes, ARNP

 

Giovanna Paredes, MSN, APRN, FNP-C is a compassionate and highly experienced Advanced Practice Registered Nurse and Fellow of both the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. With a strong international background and a deep understanding of diverse cultural perspectives, she brings a global, patient-centered approach to dermatologic care that prioritizes treating the whole person, not just the condition.

Ms. Paredes earned her medical degree from UMSA/UNAM and completed her residency at the Hospital General de Mexico. Her academic excellence earned her a competitive scholarship to pursue a Master’s degree in Immunology, where her research focused on the immunologic mechanisms of psoriasis. After relocating to the United States, she continued her medical training and received a Master’s in Advanced Family Nurse Practice from Florida International University.

With a passion for education and mentorship, Ms. Paredes also serves as a clinical preceptor for nurse practitioner students at the University of Miami Postgraduate Nursing Science Program and Florida International University, helping to shape the next generation of healthcare professionals.

She provides comprehensive dermatologic care across a wide range of medical and cosmetic concerns, applying her robust clinical training and her empathetic, multicultural approach to ensure every patient receives tailored and respectful treatment.

Outside of the clinic, Ms. Paredes enjoys spending time with her family, particularly supporting her children who attend MAST. Her hobbies include scuba diving, dancing Zumba, and exploring the vibrant South Florida community.
