Meet Larissa Zaulyanov-Scanlan, MD
Larissa Zaulyanov Scanlan, MD is double Board-Certified in Medical Dermatology and Micrographic Dermatologic Surgery. She specializes in Mohs micrographic skin cancer surgery and facial reconstruction, practicing in Boca Raton, Delray Beach, Margate, and Wellington, Florida. Her clinical interests also include skin cancer detection and prevention, wound healing, laser surgery, and cosmetic dermatology—topics on which she has published articles and co-authored book chapters.
Dr. Scanlan graduated Cum Laude in Microbiology and Cell Science from the University of Florida, with minors in Philosophy and Chemistry. She earned her medical degree at the University of South Florida in Tampa, where she graduated among the top of her class and received the Award for Academic Excellence. She completed her internship in Internal Medicine at the same institution.
She went on to complete her residency in Dermatology and Cutaneous Surgery at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital, where she was honored with the Excellence in Dermatologic Surgery Award. She received the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery Preceptorship Award for Cosmetic and Surgical Dermatology under the mentorship of Dr. Stephen Mandy in Miami, and the Women’s Dermatologic Society Mentorship Grant in Laser Education and Research under Dr. Tina Alster in Washington, D.C.
Dr. Scanlan is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, American Society for Mohs Surgery, Florida Society of Dermatologic Surgery, and the American Medical Association.
She is also passionate about education and serves as voluntary faculty at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital, where she trains dermatology residents in dermatologic surgery, facial reconstruction, and cosmetic procedures.
Dr. Scanlan is dedicated to providing the highest-quality, patient-centered dermatologic care. Outside of her professional life, she enjoys painting, traveling, and spending time with her family. She is fluent in English, Russian, and medical Spanish.
