About Me
Tamara Lior, M.D. is a double board-certified dermatologist and Mohs Micrographic Surgeon who has been practicing in South Florida since 2000. She is highly regarded for her expertise in Mohs micrographic skin cancer surgery and reconstruction, as well as skin cancer screening, cosmetic dermatology, and laser therapies.
A native of Las Vegas, Dr. Lior graduated with honors in Biology from the University of Nevada. She went on to earn her medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin, followed by an Internal Medicine internship. Dr. Lior completed her residency in Dermatology at the prestigious Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, and subsequently pursued advanced fellowship training in Mohs and Laser Surgery at Boston University.
In 2000, Dr. Lior joined Cleveland Clinic Florida where she held various positions as former Chair of Department of Dermatology and then Head Section of Mohs and Laser Surgery until her departure in 2024. Additionally, she has published and been invited to lecture at various dermatologic society meetings. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology and a Fellow of the American College of Mohs Surgery. Dr. Lior is also an active member of various professional societies including American Academy of Dermatology, American College of Mohs Micrographic Surgery, American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, and International Immunosuppression and Transplant Skin Cancer Collaboration.
With a practice philosophy rooted in precision, compassion, and individualized care, Dr. Lior is passionate about the early detection and treatment of skin cancer. She is known not only for her clinical expertise but also for her warm and approachable demeanor, taking time to thoroughly explain treatment options and tailor care to each patient’s unique needs.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Lior enjoys spending quality time with her family and their beloved Golden Doodle, Bailey. She has a love for travel, especially exploring new cultures, and enjoys outdoor activities such as camping, hiking, and beekeeping with her husband. Dr. Lior is fluent in English and German and proficient in Yiddish, allowing her to communicate effectively with a diverse patient population and further enhancing the inclusive, welcoming environment she fosters in her practice.
