Heather Woolery-Lloyd, MD is an internationally recognized expert in skin of color and is a dermatologist at Baumann Cosmetic Dermatology. She has lectured at national and international conferences on the cosmetic concerns of skin of color, and been published in Ethnic Skin and Hair and Skin and Aging, among others. Dr. Woolery-Lloyd completed her undergraduate studies at Georgetown University and later earned her medical degree at the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine. She completed her training in dermatology at the University of Miami, where she also served as chief resident.
Dr. Woolery-Lloyd practices dermatology in both a private practice and academic settings. She is the Director of Ethnic Skin Care for the University of Miami, Department of Dermatology and Cutaneous Surgery. In addition, she is the creator of Specific Beauty, a skincare line developed to address the needs of women with multi-hued skin tones.
Dr. Woolery-Lloyd participates extensively in clinical research, serving as an investigator for clinical trials with an emphasis on increasing inclusion of patients with skin of color. She has been featured as an expert dermatologist in various publications, including O, Allure and Prevention. Dr. Woolery-Lloyd also serves as the Director of the dermatology curriculum for the University of Miami, School of Medicine and has served on the Diversity Task Force for the American Academy of Dermatology.
