Dr. Matthew Zarraga is a Board Certified aesthetic and surgical dermatologist, who specializes in cosmetic dermatology and has fellowship training in cutaneous laser procedures and treatments.
His expertise includes injectable fillers and neuromodulators, sclerotherapy for leg veins, and the latest laser and light treatments for wrinkles, vascular lesions, dark spots, skin tightening and rejuvenation. Dr. Zarraga is passionate in his practice of cosmetic and general dermatology, and he is committed to helping his patients achieve healthy, beautiful skin while providing them with the most attentive and highest-quality patient care.
Dr. Zarraga graduated with honors from Georgetown University in Washington, DC. He went on to receive his medical degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine where he again graduated with honors and was elected to the Psi Sigma Alpha national medical honor society. During his internship at Palmetto General Hospital, he was selected to receive the “Excellence in Service” award for providing high quality and compassionate patient care. Pursuing his interest in research, Dr. Zarraga completed a yearlong laser research fellowship at the Center for Clinical and Cosmetic Research® in Aventura, Florida, where he served as a sub-investigator and clinical research coordinator for numerous medical and cosmetic dermatologic clinical research studies. During his three-year Dermatology residency at Wellington Regional Medical Center in Wellington, Florida, Dr. Zarraga was chosen to be the chief resident and lectured across the country.
Dr. Mathew Zarraga has co-authored a published chapter in a plastic surgery textbook and has published articles in a variety of peer-reviewed medical and dermatologic journals including Cutis, Cosmetic Dermatology, American Journal of Dermatopathology and the Journal of Clinical and Aesthetic Dermatology. He continues to attend national conferences and seminars to stay informed of the latest, most cutting-edge technologies, techniques and procedures in the field of dermatology.
