Scars and Stretch Marks
With advances in technology, there are a variety of lasers now used to treat both scars and stretch marks. The Pulse Dye Laser is a laser designed to improve the appearance of both scars and stretch marks. Scars and stretch marks that appear red and/or raised typically respond the best with laser. However, there are lasers to improve the appearance of all types of scars and stretch marks.
Treatment of scars and stretch marks with lasers does not require any anesthesia. Most patients will experience some bruising and/or redness of the area for a week or two following the treatment. Multiple treatments are usually needed for optimal improvement. Treatments are spaced approximately two to four weeks apart. The final result may take three to six months to achieve.
