Dr. Leslie Baumann is an internationally renowned board-certified dermatologist, bestselling writer, media personality, sought-after lecturer. Dr. Baumann has served as a Professor of Dermatology at the University of Miami where she founded the first Academic Cosmetic Dermatology Research Institute in the Unites States in 1997. She authored the first textbook on Cosmetic Dermatology (McGraw Hill, 2002 and 2009) which has been translated into 8 languages and become the most widely used cosmetic dermatology textbook around the world. Her latest textbook Cosmeceuticals and Cosmetic Ingredients (McGraw Hill, 2014) is an encyclopedia of ingredients used by aestheticians, cosmetic chemists and dermatologists worldwide.
Dr. Baumann also wrote the New York Times bestseller, The Skin Type Solution (2005) which describes her scientifically validated and widely adopted Baumann Skin Typing System.
