Shailee Patel, MD

Shailee Patel, M.D. is a Board Certified Dermatologist and Cutaneous Surgeon.  She graduated Magna Cum Laude with a bachelor’s degree from the University of Miami. At the University of Miami, she was selected to participate in numerous committees such as the Honor Council and the Appellate Board. She also served as president of the American Medical Student Association. She attended medical school at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine during which she completed a two-year basic science research fellowship in wound healing. She was selected to present her research at numerous national conferences. She also received many grants/awards from top dermatology societies. Dr. Patel graduated medical school with Research Distinction and was also inducted into the Iron Arrow Honor Society, which is the highest honor that can be bestowed by the University of Miami. She completed her dermatology residency at the prestigious University of Miami program, where she was awarded the Jaime Battan award for exemplary compassionate patient care.

She has published dozens of book chapters and peer-reviewed articles in leading medical journals. She has been invited to speak at national and international conferences including the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and the Hair, Nail and Anti-Aging Symposium. Dr. Patel has also been featured as an expert dermatologist in the media with Good Morning America.

She is highly trained in medical dermatology, dermatologic surgery, and cosmetic dermatology. Her interests include skin cancer, natural aesthetic results, hyperpigmentation, and cosmetic procedures including botulinum toxin, fillers, chemical peels, and laser surgery.

Her goal is to take a team based approach to help patient’s look and feel as healthy and beautiful as possible.

Dr. Patel is a native Floridian and enjoys the opportunity to serve the community she grew up in. She is fluent in English, Spanish, and Gujarati. Dr. Patel enjoys yoga, Pilates, music, and spending time with her family.
