Meet Mark S. Nestor, MD, PhD

 

Mark S. Nestor, M.D., Ph.D., F.A.A.D. is a board certified Dermatologist and serves as Director of the Center for Clinical and Cosmetic Research™ and the Center for Cosmetic Enhancement®, Aventura, Florida. He is a Voluntary Professor in the Department of Dermatology and Cutaneous Surgery and the Department of Surgery, Division of Plastic Surgery at the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine. He is the current President of the American Cutaneous Oncology Society, a past President of the American Society for Photodynamic Therapy, the International Society for Cosmetic and Laser Surgeons, and Florida Society of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery.

As Director for CCCR he has conducted more than 150 FDA and non-FDA clinical trials. Dr. Nestor is recognized as a world expert in clinical therapeutics, drug delivery systems and research in many areas of clinical Dermatology and aesthetics including acne, psoriasis, and skin cancer, light therapies to treat skin disease, cutaneous laser surgery, photodynamic therapy, and Superficial Radiation Therapy.

His aesthetic expertise includes lasers, RF and other devices, fillers and he recently developed new clinical postulates for botulinum toxins. He has authored over 140 articles and book chapters, has delivered over 1100 major presentations around the world and is viewed as an internationally acclaimed lecturer and instructor of clinical and aesthetic Dermatology. Dr. Nestor also serves as a consultant to numerous pharmaceutical and device companies assisting them in the development of new medications, devices and cosmeceuticals.

He received his MD and PhD in Immunopathology from UCLA School of Medicine, and completed his Dermatology Residency at NYU.

Meet Giovanna Paredes, ARNP

 

Giovanna Paredes, MSN, APRN, FNP-C is a compassionate and highly experienced Advanced Practice Registered Nurse and Fellow of both the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. With a strong international background and a deep understanding of diverse cultural perspectives, she brings a global, patient-centered approach to dermatologic care that prioritizes treating the whole person, not just the condition.

Ms. Paredes earned her medical degree from UMSA/UNAM and completed her residency at the Hospital General de Mexico. Her academic excellence earned her a competitive scholarship to pursue a Master’s degree in Immunology, where her research focused on the immunologic mechanisms of psoriasis. After relocating to the United States, she continued her medical training and received a Master’s in Advanced Family Nurse Practice from Florida International University.

With a passion for education and mentorship, Ms. Paredes also serves as a clinical preceptor for nurse practitioner students at the University of Miami Postgraduate Nursing Science Program and Florida International University, helping to shape the next generation of healthcare professionals.

She provides comprehensive dermatologic care across a wide range of medical and cosmetic concerns, applying her robust clinical training and her empathetic, multicultural approach to ensure every patient receives tailored and respectful treatment.

Outside of the clinic, Ms. Paredes enjoys spending time with her family, particularly supporting her children who attend MAST. Her hobbies include scuba diving, dancing Zumba, and exploring the vibrant South Florida community.

Harold S. Rabinovitz, M.D. is a Board-Certified Dermatologist and Fellowship-Trained Mohs Surgeon with more than 30 years of experience specializing in the diagnosis and surgical treatment of skin cancer. He is widely respected for his expertise in Mohs micrographic surgery, a highly precise technique for removing skin cancers while preserving surrounding healthy tissue.

Dr. Rabinovitz graduated Cum Laude from Princeton University and earned his medical degree from the University of Miami School of Medicine. He completed his internship at Mt. Sinai Medical Center and went on to finish his dermatology residency at the prestigious New York University Medical Center, where he received advanced training in both general and surgical dermatology.

Throughout his distinguished academic career, Dr. Rabinovitz has contributed significantly to medical education and research. Daniel Rivlin, MD, is a Fellowship-trained Mohs Surgeon and Dermatopathologist with over two decades of experience in the diagnosis and treatment of complex skin conditions, including skin cancer. He is highly regarded for his expertise in Mohs micrographic surgery and dermatopathology, uniquely positioning him to both identify and treat skin cancers with exceptional precision.

Dr. Rivlin earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Miami and received his medical degree from New York University School of Medicine. He went on to complete a Fellowship in Mohs Surgery at UCLA Medical Center, where he received an academic award recognizing him as an outstanding resident.
